  • How should I store my honey ?
As with all food products, there are storage conditions for honey. Just as we should keep the meat at 4°C or colder, we should keep honey between 18-24°C without being exposed to sunlight.
  • Why has my honey crystallized ?
Because it is real ! When your honey crystallizes, it means that you’ve chosen a real, natural honey product. Crystallization occurs because of the natural nectars inside honey. The crystallization will even be different in different kinds of honey depending on the nectar it was made from. The storage temperature is very important. The crystallization is more rapid around 10-15ºC. Under this temperature the crystallization slows down, because the viscosity is increased and this retards the formation of crystals. Honey best resist crystallization at temperatures higher than 25ºC but not above 40ºC in which the properties of the honey will be damaged.
  • Is crystallized honey spoiled ? Is it safe to consume crystallized honey ?

  • What is creamed honey ?

Creamed honey contains a large number of small crystals, which prevent the formation of larger crystals that can occur in unprocessed honey. The processing also produces a honey with a smooth spreadable consistency.

  • What makes Mira Honey so special?
Reaching quality honey requires effort, patience and knowledge. And the only way to say honey is good is to analyze it. It is not possible to understand whether a honey is unadulterated by its smell, color or taste or its quality. Although some honey companies have their products analyzed in their own laboratories, as Mira Bal, we always think that these analyzes are carried out by an independent organization is a more accurate and reliable move from the consumer point of view. Every year, thousands of samples from our beekeepers are analyzed without exception. We categorize the analysis results according to Mira Bal's high quality standards. And so the word "Quality Honey" becomes tangible in Mira Honey.
